Seriously, how amazing is that Iron Fist pic? I can bestow no higher honour than placing it as my iPad home screen. Vic, you’ve nailed one of my favourite characters of all time. Thank you.

Tonight I put my little man to bed and he just wanted to keep sitting on me. Usually he’s busting me to read just one more book with him, which got up to about 15 the other night, but tonight it was just one book and then 20 minutes of sitting. I was in heaven. I also found out today he’s singing in his music class. What a little champion.

But enough gushy dad talk, that’s not what you came for.

I wrote the first three pages of #6 of the ongoing tonight. I’m really happy with them, too. They’ll be even more amazing later with a polish and some editorial input. But for now, it’s always a lovely win to get that first draft out and have it smile back up at you. I even slipped one of my favourite #makecomics tips into the script. I won’t share it now, I don’t want the market flooded with it, obviously. Ha.

I proofed and sent in the two reviews written last night.

I caught some of BASIC INSTINCT on tv while working. Y’know, that flick is pretty damn tight. Very good at doing what it sets put to do. And Sharon Stone is quite simply amazing for that role. What the hell happened to her? Sadly, Michael Douglas managed to be a lecherous old geezer even as a young bloke. What a superpower to unlock.

I was supposed to watch some BREAKING BAD but I got caught up with the script instead. I’m okay with that.

I’m now going to settle into bed with Remender’s latest issue of UXF, #29, and then go to sleep.

Tomorrow night I’m staying up late to interview one of the smartest men working in comics right now. PROCESS fans will know who I’m talking about.
