Plan.
Today, my son turned 2. This was all the day’s progress I needed as he smiled and laughed his way through a glorious day.
However, he did nap and also went to bed so I got some time to make with the words.
An editor wants a fleshed out pitch so today I worked on that. I think what I have now is tight. Critical friends are having a gander currently.
I also got this crazy little one-shot idea and decided to break the story down. I plotted out the story beats into page sized parcels but didn’t keep count. When I finished the tale, I then counted the beats/pages. There were 21. That was awesome.
I didn’t mind it clocking in at 21 because my plan to page process changes without fail when and while writing. One sequence will need more room and another will be concisely covered with brevity. It’s a fun tectonic process.
I also looked over this anthology short. Editorial notes are guiding me and I think I’ve found the perfect way to get a better product. I hope I get more time for this tomorrow as I think I can nail all I need.

Watched the rest of APPROPRIATE ADULT. It was definitely well made. Watched a little bit of JUSTIFIED. Had the episode interrupted and never got back.
I wish I read some of my comics today. Alas.
